Happy International Women’s Day!
There is an urgent need, now more than ever, for immediate action and accessible financing towards gender equality.
As we continue to witness and survive the impacts of the climate crises, changing weather patterns, and biodiversity loss, we can’t ignore that these impacts are unequal and gendered, damaging the lives of subsistence farmers, small-scale fisherfolk, informal workers, women-led SMEs, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
Why do we need women and gender in climate finance?
Interested in learning more about the state of Biodiversity, Gender, and Financing in the Caribbean? For IWD 2024, we hosted a webinar exploring the unique and critical intersections between these areas. As we celebrate International Women’s Day this year and continue our work in the gender space, we are pleased to release the full webinar.
Our insightful panel featured Karen McDonald Gayle of Caribbean Biodiversity Fund, Dr. Nikita Ali from The Cropper Foundation, Stacey Alvarez de la Campa, of Climate Rights & Justice International, and Keisha Garcia, at ANSA Merchant Bank.
